Platform Status Notices
Ready Practice runs on a handful of outside services: the payment processor, the SMS carrier network, the insurance clearinghouse, the AI model provider, and the cloud that hosts everything. When one of them has an incident, parts of the platform can slow down or fail even though nothing is wrong on your side. A platform status notice is how we tell you that, in plain words, while it is happening, so your team does not spend an hour debugging a problem that is not theirs.
What you see
When a vendor-side incident affects something your organization uses, a banner appears at the top of the platform for every staff member in your organization. Notices only go to the organizations that use the affected service: an AI call center incident reaches organizations with the AI call center turned on, a payments incident reaches organizations that take payments through the platform, and an issue with Atlas or the platform itself reaches everyone. It names the capability in our terms, for example "Degraded performance affecting Atlas AI features" or "Service disruption affecting SMS and phone-call delivery," says that we are monitoring, and tells you no action is needed. It does not name the vendor, because the vendor is our responsibility, not yours.
The banner disappears on its own when the vendor marks the incident resolved, or when our team marks it resolved. You can also dismiss it for yourself with the small close control; it will not come back for the same incident.
The same notice reaches your team where they already are. If your organization has connected Slack, Atlas posts it in your default channel. Your organization's admins also receive it by email, from Atlas at Ready Practice, so the person responsible knows even if nobody is logged in. When the issue is resolved, a short "Resolved" follow-up goes to the same Slack channel and the same inboxes, so nobody is left wondering.
What Atlas knows
Atlas reads the same notices. If you ask Atlas whether something is down, or if a request fails or runs slowly while a notice is active, Atlas tells you that a vendor-side issue is affecting that capability and that we are monitoring it, using the same wording as the banner. When no notice is active, Atlas says so and helps you troubleshoot normally.
Our monitoring detects vendor incidents within minutes, but a person on the Ready Practice team reviews each one before it is shown to organizations. Incidents that do not touch anything you use, such as an SMS carrier problem in another country, are never shown.
Next steps
- Something is failing and there is no notice → report it from the Help menu or ask Atlas to file it; a notice only covers vendor-side issues we have confirmed.
- You want to know what the platform depends on → the subprocessor list in your organization's compliance documents names each service.
